Hey it's Wednesday!

Hey it's Ashley and Pedro!

We are about to go to Science class and since we need colored pencils or crayons, I bet we're going to have a lot of fun.

Next Wednesday we are going on a field trip to the Henry Ford Museum to build a house. We will have a blast! We just finished Religion and we are packing up to go home because it is the end of the day.

We are now reading, "The Lion and the Witch and the Wardrobe." It's a nice day so we went outside for recess today and we might be going outside tomorrow too!

Just Tuesday...

This is Alyssa and Sarah!

Today, we had Computers. We did our spelling pretest. We got to have caramel corn with snack from William. He did his state report on Illinois today. At recess we played, "Duck, Duck, Goose." We had a mad minute in Math today. In Gym we played a soccer game. We had Science and it was fun! In Math we learned solids and made some nets of solid figures. In English we learned about clauses and phrases.

Our Wacky Week!


Ava


On Monday, we made under the sea murals.


On Tuesday, we played "Capture the Flag" in gym.


On Wednesday, the accreditation teams were taking a look at our school.

On Thursday, we played "Sparkle" and I won 2 games in a row!


On Friday, we were in charge of Mass for the school and now we are going to Stations of the Cross.

Our Weekend...


What did you do this weekend?

Alexis- I rode my scooter to the market with my friend and we came back with three packs of bubblegum.

David- I went to the Red Wings Game on Saturday and they won 3-2 in OT ( Over Time).

Travis- I went to Ryan's house and played there.

Patrick-I went to my friend's house and I spent the night.

William-I got freshwater shrimp for my fish tank.

Alyssa- I went to a party and stayed up until 1 o clock.
Isabel- I went to Kourtney's house and spent the night.

Angelina- I had a party , stayed up late , and won money.

Michael- I worked on my State-in-a-Box project and had a birthday party for my sitter.

Laura -I went to Rainforest Cafe on Saturday and celebrated my sister Rachel's birthday on Sunday.

Zena-I went to play outside and we said, "Happy birthday!" to someone in Lebanon.

Ryan- I went to my cousin's baptism party.

Ava-I spent the night at Syd's house on Saturday!

Sarah-I went to Laura's house for Rachel's b-day!

Tyler-I saved 16 worms. My aunt and uncle came over and I was sick. So on Sunday I stayed in
and watched the History Channel. (By the way did you know John Hancock was a smuggler?)
Ashley: I went Up North with my cousins and learned how to ski ! At first it was hard and now its so easy! I went to Avalanche Bay and went down a ride called the "Toilet Bowl. " It was awesome! On the ramps for skiing I went airborn and flew. It was fun!

Stephen: I watched a movie called "Where the Wild Things Are" with my family.
Joseph: I was sick and had to lay down and take a nap.

Katie: It was raining so I didn't really do anything. I did see the movie "UP" for the first time. I really liked it.

Pedro: I played baseball and soccer on Friday. On Saturday I went outside even though it was raining. On Sunday I watched TV and played videogames.

Sydney: I had Ava spend the night. I saw the movie "Avatar." It was really good and I liked it a lot.
Kyle: On Saturday I couldn't do any thing because it was raining so I a watched TV. Sunday I played with my friends then I watched a basketball game on TV and than my brother got a haircut.
Kourtney: On Saturday I went to my sister's soccer game and it was boring! On Sunday I went to Church. After we went home and watched TV.
John: This weekend I went to Applebees and I saw Father Brad!
It was a busy weekend!

Terrific Thursday!!!!!

Hi, it's David and Zena.

We did Spanish and Art today. We also had a Reading test today. We had English and we learned about prepositions. In math we learned about rotations, reflections, and translations.

We just got back from lunch and we are about to take a Science test. We were supposed to have Nurse Kathi today but she didn't come to our school.

Right now we are packing up so we can play a game of "Sparkle." (It's a game to help us learn our Spelling words.)

Our Wacky-Wednesday!

What's up? It's Kourtney and Tanya.

Today we did 3 tests: Religion, Math, and English.

We started a new chapter in Math. In Reading we read a story called, "The Race to the North Pole." We had choir practice and Music.

In Religion, we started a new chapter about the Sacraments of Healing.

It was so nice outside that we just had to go outside for recess!

Today we went to Computers and Gym. For our journal we had to pick our favorite book and redesign a new cover for it. Today we had to finish our time lines from yesterday. We are learning about geometry in math. We are reading about two men that are going to the North Pole.

Fun Mon- Day!!!

Welcome back to our blog.

Today is Monday and we are making timelines in Reading. Another thing we did was learn about circles in Math. We practiced rotating 90, 180, 270 and 360 degrees.

We got to go outside for recess because it was so nice today!

Two kids in our class did the junior Olympics swim meet over the weekend and got medals.

YEAH IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, it's Kyle and Laura.

There is no homework today except our Social Studies review. Tonight after school is the Fish Fry. We are going to Stations of the Cross at 2:00. Also, we had D.E.A.R time this morning and we shared our spelling stories. Then we took a spelling test. We also wrote a journal about leprechauns. Our multiplication time test is on Monday and we are talking about polygons in math.

Today Kyle colored our butterfly blue for Lent. Every day we color a different part of the butterfly until we get to the end of Lent.

Today...

Hi, it's Michael.

Right now we just got back from recess and it's silent reading time. Today, we did Math, English, and Social Studies. In Math, we are learning about polygons. They're cool! We're working on adverbs in English and in Social Studies we're working on the Southwest region. It has a lot of diverse cultures!

Hi, it's Stephen.

Today we took a Reading test. We just had Science. Today we read a book about a greedy triangle who tried to become a bunch of different shapes. In English, we wrote a paragraph about what makes you feel lucky. We had fun!

SHAMROCK MADNESS!


Hi! It's A.J. and Izzy.

Today we finished our shamrock guys. We started them yesterday. We colored them out and fastened them. We hung them up on the ceiling and now when you look up, it looks like a shamrock town.

We also did partner reading today for Reading Month. I, Angelina, read with Laura. We read a book by Judy Blume. I ,Isabel, read with Cameron. We read a story called "Jenny in Space." We had a good time reading!

Yippy it's March!



Hi, it's Ryan and Tyler.

We shared book reports yesterday. We read a fantasy book and then we decorated a cereal box with information about our book. Some were funny and some were really good.

Today, we are watching a stations of the cross movie that we made last Friday. We are about to go to Science and do half of our test. We have never done this before so it is going to be weird. Yesterday we played with electricity in Science. It was really fun!

The Olympics!


The Olympics ended yesterday. What was your favorite part?

Isabel: I think my favorite part about the Olympics would be... that there is a separate Olympics for summer and winter has its own, too.

Patrick: I liked when USA faced Canada in the gold medal game in hockey.

William:I liked when USA tied the hockey game against Canada and went into overtime.

Kourtney: I liked the bobsledding because it looks really fun to try to zoom down the racing line very fast.

Michael: I like the skiing because they go very fast and try to hit the red and blue poles.

Kyle: I liked when Canada faced USA in the hockey game.

Alexis: I liked the bobsledding because it looks very fun.

Laura: I like skiing because they did cool tricks.

Tanya: I liked the snowboarding because people did cool tricks in the air.

Andrew: I liked the bobsledding because it looks like so much fun to go down that fast.

Beth: I liked the partner figure skating because people from the U.S.A. did a very cool trick. A girl flipped over a boys back and landed on his leg, and everyone went, "WOW!"

Sydney: I liked to watch Apollo Ono because he tried really hard to get the gold medal.

Alyssa: I liked to watch skiing because you can see the stuff they do.

Katie:I liked the skiing, because they go so fast.

Ryan:I liked the hockey game because it was U.S.A vs. Canada.

Zachary:I liked when THE U.S.A wins medals.

Pedro: I liked the hockey game, when U.S.A. vs. Canada.

AVA: I like the speed skating. They go fast and they switch lanes so its the same amount of track.

David: I liked watching Apollo Ono win medals.

Travis: I liked watching Shaun White snowboarding because I liked all his tricks.

John : I like to watch them all go very fast!

Joe:I like to watch snowboarders do tricks.

Angelina: I like watching the people ski because I like to ski but I go slow so comparing them to me is cool.

Cameron:I like cross country skiing because I think it is cool.

Ashley:I like that the USA won the medal race because I really like to watch the Olympic Winter Games.

Stephen: I liked the speed skating because they went fast.

Sarah: I liked ice dancing because the dancing was exciting.

Tyler: I liked the Olympics because we have the most medals and because some of the games were so close.

Zena: I liked the speed skating and the snowboarding because it seemed challenging and I just like to watch them snowboarding.

We can't wait for the next Winter Olympics in four years!
